Joshua’s call to ministry was first nurtured in an immigrant Filipino American church in Chicago, where he learned that following Jesus is inseparable from community and deep relationships. Those early experiences continue to shape his ministry today.

He loves bringing people together around shared meals, honest conversation, and spiritual practice, trusting that these ordinary rhythms open us to the presence of Christ. 

Joshua holds a Master of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary and is ordained in the Reformed Church in America. He and his high school sweetheart, Melody, have been married since 2013 and live in San Francisco’s Richmond District with their two sons, Joaquin and Noah.
