This week, we begin our journey through the season of Lent; a time when we collectively recalibrate our spiritual practices and souls. As we do this, we’ll also journey through the places where Jesus called home and carried out his ministry, as we consider our own places of formation. Space and place are not just a set of coordinates; they shape our identity, belonging and, ultimately, our sense of call for participating in God’s work in the world. If those old maps in the back of the Bible remind us of anything, it’s that the story of God’s people and Jesus’ ministry took place in specific places, at specific times. That Jesus was born amidst political relocation, spent his early childhood in Egypt, claimed Galilee as his hood, began his ministry in the wilderness and carried it out along the region of Palestine are not just interesting facts; they say something about the places that formed him and how he formed them back. Join us this Lent as we follow Jesus through his ministry journey to become who he was so that we might live into who God created us to be. Our journey begins today at our Ash Wednesday Service at 6:30pm. We hope you’ll join us at the Russian Center or online here. Nursery care WILL be available for under 3-years-old.

CONGREGATIONAL MEETING RECAP

We encourage you to pass share these openings with your communities and networks! As we prepare for our search, we are also gathering interview teams to review job applications, craft questions for each candidate based on our congregational survey, and conduct interviews.
