You can watch the full meeting here.
We began our winter meeting with a visioning exercise that asked everyone to explore the following two questions. Below each question are a sample of answers given by the elders and staff at their recent retreats.
Question 1: Why church?
we meet christ (sacraments + word + people)
community of relationships to learn, grow and practice with
collective creates more than individual (way more interesting together)
a place where you can feel home
Question 2: Why City Church?
space for questioning/questions
raising kids in church, faith formation, community
a church that cares about the arts
unique combination of evangelical + progressive (intelligence on fire)
We then shared our new visioning language that emerged from the retreat:
At City Church San Francisco we aspire to be an inclusive community that follows Jesus with our head, our heart, and hands.

Pop-Up Evangelism
We'll be trying out some pop-up events in concert with important civic and cultural events happening around the City.
