I was raised in a church community in Oregon, where faith was a central part of my upbringing with a strong group of believers. I have many fond memories of my youth group and a small tight knit community. I eventually found my way to Berkeley for graduate school, where I met my wife, Kristal. For several years we were active members of Christ Church Berkeley.

When we decided to move to San Francisco, City Church quickly became home to us, and we have been members since 2013. During our time at City Church, we’ve been active participants and leaders in community groups, enjoying gathering regularly with others to share meals, study scripture and pray together.

I’m excited to be a part of this next chapter at City Church and to raise my children in a community that is Jesus-centered, inclusive,  and grounded in truth and grace.
