Musings on the Newbigin Fellowship

"One of the more memorable quotes I've read is from A.W. Tozer's Knowledge of the Holy. He says "What comes into our mind when we think about God is the most important thing about us." The arc of the teachings of Lesslie Newbigin might say that tantamount to our thoughts of God is what comes into our minds when we consider the Gospel. And not just our minds, but our hearts, our lips and thus our lives. The Newbigin Fellowship has proven to me to be a rich soil to cultivate my understanding of the Gospel.  The reading has provided me with a deeper understanding of the foundations of Christianity and of the immediacy of the Gospel in a multitude of topics.  The ground for discussions is set to welcome an honest, and thus oft wrestling, believer.  For someone as unfortunately individualistic and prone to cynicism as me, the Newbigin fellowship has been an environment warm with many perspectives.  It's an effective place to intentionally explore what it means to love my God and to love my neighbor."
