"If you enter the Newbigin Fellowship looking for definitive answers to big theological questions, you may or may not find them. But I think what you likely will discover can be of more value---a foundation, excitement, and wisdom in how to engage with Scripture. Specifically, I took away a deeper understanding of my place within the biblical narrative—where I belong in this story and how to allow it to shape my life in the present. The Fellowship also revealed to me the postmodern lens through which many of us in West view the world—the unacknowledged assumptions we (both believers and non-believers) have about the concepts of truth, fact, values, knowledge, and belief. Far from being abstract, unimportant notions, my views on these concepts directly impact how I as a Christian can engage with a diverse culture and presume to speak the truth. While I have yet to completely process my thoughts in this area (it will be a journey), I now have a wonderful community to support me as I try to meaningfully engage with my friends and coworkers, who are almost all nonbelievers"
