This past Sunday, we remembered the saints who, as the Apostle Paul put it, make up the great cloud of witnesses – parents, teachers, mentors, and friends who journey with us as we seek to follow in the way of Jesus. Through lighting candles, reading celebrations, and reflecting on scripture, we gave thanks for the way these ancestors in the faith strengthen us and encourage us as we build on their efforts to make God’s vision of wholeness of life for all more real in our world.
