The heavens declare the abundance of God, the skies reveal God’s hands. Day after day their speech flows out; night after night they reveal knowledge. There is no speech, and no language where their voice is not heard.
— Psalm of David, 11th Century BCE
Over seventy of us gathered in three outdoor locations this past Sunday for our first Church of the Wild, a practice of finding delight and awe while resting in the awareness of an ever present God. We slowed down and set an intention to be present in a way that we normally are not, to realize the divine presence is waiting patiently to play with us, to show us that we are part of, and connected to, not only each other but to all matter in this wild world.
