This past weekend, nine families with eighteen kids ranging in ages from two to sixteen-years spent two days in the Del Valle Wilderness enjoying community camping and nature fun. We shared hot chocolate and s’more fixin’s. We went fishing and found “dragon bones” (probably cow bones?). We paddle boarded and swam. On Sunday morning we gathered to have a wondering moment about “What is God like…” — And “God is like a friend who shares food,” “God is like a parent with a restless child in the night,” and “God is like a hot shower after a two-day camping trip.” Consider reserving your first weekend of August next year to come along with us on this great family camping trip.
