Rev. Joshua Jalandoon

Pastor of Discipleship

(he/him)

Like most Chicagoans, Joshua has a strong affinity for the city where he grew up and met his wife and high school sweetheart Melody. Joshua’s call to ministry was first formed in an immigrant Filipino American congregation tucked away in the Albany Park neighborhood of Chicago. He brings to City Church 6+ years of pastoral experience, serving in various capacities of small group, music, and youth ministry. While he is a passionate advocate for youth and emerging adults, he is most passionate about pointing them to Jesus and helping them experience how the Gospel can be good news for them and this world.

Joshua holds degrees from Fuller Theological Seminary (MDiv in Worship, Theology & The Arts) and Moody Bible Institute (BA in Theology). He is drawn to people who are kind “Without Why”, who are full of hope, and who believe that the Gospel is still saving them.
