Dear Friends,
Let me begin with a word of thanks: I was blown away by your generosity during our Giving Tuesday campaign! Thanks to so many of you, we’re at a strong start for December. Our goal is to raise $750,000 in December to keep our budget on track as we head into 2021. Together, in December, we’ve already raised $600,000. That’s only $150,000 to go!
Your continued generosity gives me hope for where we find ourselves. We are in a poignant moment in the life of City Church: poised to reach as broad an audience as possible with the good news. Our opportunity is the one that has been before us from day one 24 years ago: A church that welcomes all and seeks the flourishing of San Francisco.
In all the ways we have gathered during Covid, new people are finding their way to a church that puts Jesus at the center AND practices an inclusive welcome for all to fully participate. The work of City Church to be good news for all of San Francisco is never-ending and extensive.
We continue to see a lot of new faces and families at City Church, some of who have never been to a church in their life. We are seeing people embrace Jesus for the first time, we are seeing people renewed in their faith, needing a church like ours in order to try faith on again, and we are seeing lives changed in the process. This has been our continued experience over 24 years. We have so much to be thankful for!
You make this happen, friends. Your generosity keeps this engine going: the engine of bringing renewal to San Francisco through City Church.
Like most churches, much of our income is received in December. This is why we need your help to raise $750,000 in year-end gifts for City Church and its ministries and ministry partners to move forward unhindered. Will you help us raise this final $150,000?

Members of our Finance Team are more than available to talk with you about anything that may hinder you from giving confidently to City Church.
24 years ago a group of people sat in my living room and came up with two big ideas
1. Let’s start a church to which we can bring our friends.
2. Let’s start a church that will be good news for all of San Francisco.
Those two ideas continue to drive us as a church!
