In her book, “Help, Thanks, Wow”, Anne Lamott wrote “Gratitude begins in our hearts and then dovetails into behavior. It almost always makes you willing to be of service, which is where the joy resides.” This Sunday, we will explore how the whole of the earth, even the Leviathan (Psalm 104), is inviting us into this renewed call of gratitude, the type of gratitude that is the catalyst for becoming a community known for joy and service. Finally, we want to say a blessing and thank you to our guests from this past Sunday, Rev. Adam Mixon and Pastor Adrienne Mixon. Adam and Adrienne shared in word and song how prophetic joy invites us to “sing even when it’s raining.” Below are ways for you to get connected to one another and the life and work of this community in San Francisco called City Church.

Elements of Faith, Salvation This Sunday!
It’s not too late to join our post worship service 6 week group experience, Elements of Faith. This Sunday Pastor Emily will be leading a discussion on the topic of Salvation. Because our salvation is bound up together, we’ll explore how God invites us into the life-long work of healing and restoration. Elements of Faith is a great step toward joining the membership of City Church and getting to know more about how we operate. IMPORTANT: This will be the FINAL open registration for this current group experience. Can’t make it this time around? We plan on offering this course a few times a year. Registration requested; Lunch and childcare provided!

If you would like to join remotely, and would like a kit to participate in making ashes at home, email Jason by Sunday, February 12th, with your mailing address.
