On the afternoon of Sunday, May 31st, City Church SF did what we do best. We gathered, we celebrated, and we cried happy tears. The occasion? Honoring the one and only Barbara Lyon, who has poured her whole heart into our children's ministry for 11 incredible years.

The room was full of memory lane moments — stories of Sunday mornings, little hands in craft projects, kids who are now teenagers walking back through the door just to say thank you. Eleven years of showing up, of knowing every child's name, of making sure every single child who walked through our doors felt seen, known, and loved by God and by this community.

Barbara didn't just lead a ministry — she shaped a generation. The seeds she planted are growing in ways we may never fully see, and that is the most beautiful kind of legacy there is.

We send you into this next season with full hearts, standing ovations, and a forever place in the City Church SF family. You have deserve every bit of the rest and joy ahead of you.
