I'm originally from Florida but have lived in the Bay Area and attended City Church SF for - most of my adult life. This community has deeply shaped my theology and introduced me to lifelong friends. Professionally, I've worn many hats in education, developing a special affinity for teenagers and teaching world history. This ties into one of my favorite areas of study: early human history before the Agricultural Revolution. To me, history shows that humans are designed to live in community; we need each other. Why do you want to be a deacon? As a deacon I want to explore what it means to be in community with each other. How can we become a community that vulnerably shares our needs and our gifts, asking and giving freely? Anne lives in San Rafael and has attended City Church for 20 years.
