You are invited to join us this Sunday at 10am PST live at the Russian Center or on Youtube as we continue our series, ‘A Transforming Faith,’ and also celebrate new members joining, Thomas Igeme and Brad Berky! Pastor Jay will invite us into the story of Jesus and the disciples picking grain from the field on the Sabbath as we talk about the first transforming shape in a life of vibrant faith, ‘Cleaning Up.’ The ‘Cleaning Up’ shape is about recognizing the ways in which our faith has kept us small, bound, and unaware. As Fr. Richard Rohr said, cleaning up is about shedding ‘the preoccupation with our private moral perfection.’ In other words, it’s about having the courage to ask the deeper questions of life, in order to receive Jesus’ simple invitation to rest in the grain fields to be fed and nourished for a fuller life with God and with one another. Finally, as we move toward the weekend, say a prayer for Pastor Joshua, our Student Ministry Leaders and Studentsas they make their way this weekend to Summer Retreat 2023! The retreat theme is "Look & See: How Beauty Helps Us Discover Faith." Pray for safety, lots of fun and for God to meet our Student Ministry Community in a powerful way.
