Amelia Hamiter

Pastoral Resident

Amelia grew up between San Francisco and the East Bay (Concord), minus some years spent in Thailand as a missionary kid.

She has an MA in Theological Studies from Regent College in Vancouver, BC, where she studied postcolonial expressions of Christianity and carried out qualitative research on the experiences of mixed race women in Vancouver church congregations.

Amelia previously worked at a public health non-profit in Oakland and has a BA in Science, Technology, and Society from Scripps College in Claremont, California. In her down time, she loves roaming around the Presidio, tinkering on the piano, and checking out too many books from the library.
