All Souls Sunday Community Practice

All Saints Day is observed on November 1, after All Hallows Eve with All Souls Day following on November 2. But most churches celebrate it on the first Sunday in November. On All Souls Sunday, November 5 we will pause and celebrate those ancestors, relatives, loved ones, saints and martyrs who have passed. We thank God for their lives and together we reflect on our collective great cloud of witnesses. This cloud of witnesses is a collection of gifts and graces, an accumulation of wisdom and experiences that have shaped and are still shaping our individual lives as we collectively live out the mission of City Church.

This year for All Souls Sunday we invite you to share a name, or names, of those in your great cloud, as well as something you would like to celebrate about their life. Together we will thank God for them on Sunday, November 5th. Please submit your names by Thursday, November 2nd.
